Cybercrime is a type of crime that includes the use of a computer and a network. Cybercrime may jeopardize a person’s security and financial wellbeing. When sensitive information is intercepted or released, whether lawfully or illegally, there are several privacy issues. Internationally, both state and non-state entities are involved in cybercrime, which includes espionage, money theft, and other cross-border crimes. Cyberwarfare refers to cybercrimes that span international borders and include the acts of at least one nation-state. The High Technology Crime Investigation Association (HTCIA) was founded to provide global members with education and collaboration in the prevention and investigation of high-tech crimes.
