The Australian Women in Security Awards are produced and organized by Source2Create Pty Ltd. This is an annual event that is held in Australia.

The Official Publication of the Australian Women in Security Awards is the “Women in Security Magazine”.

We’ve been listing Women in Cybersecurity conferences for many years now and we’re delighted to be able to list this event.

The security industry comes together once a year to celebrate and enhance the visibility of the Australian IT Security, Cyber, and Protective Security industries in order to encourage young women and men to pursue careers in this field.

This is a highly recommended security event for those professionals living and working in the APAC region – especially in Australia.

We caught up with Co-Founder at Source2Create.

Abigail is actively involved with the an Australian events award ceremony called AWSN Women In Security Awards. We’re huge fans of promoting Women In Cybersecurity events and I’m delighted that Abigail agreed to answer some questions on this conference.

What’s The “Best Thing” About Your Event(s)?
Our aim is to raise the profile of the Australian IT Security, Cyber, Protective Security and Resilience industry to inspire young women and men to consider a career in this sector.

We do this by honouring their accomplishments, value, and contributions to the Australian market and giving the recognition they deserve.

How Would You Like To See Your Event(s) Evolve?
Expand into New Zealand and Asia

What Do You Look For In Speakers?
Inspirational speakers with the ability to capture the audience through storytelling, and they need to be female.

What’s Your Prediction for 2021 In A Post-Covid-19 World? Will Virtual Events Take Over Or Will We See A Return To The “Traditional Physical Events” Format?
I think we will see a return of physical events but smaller with more live streaming.
